Hi everyone, I have a special announcement for all the retro game and physical media enthusiasts out there.
My retro game collection has grown significantly recently and I now possess a good amount of games with genres ranging from survival horror to JRPGs, platformers, and even old school first-person games.

As you all know well, physical media is unfortunately a dying industry. Even when we get physical games these days, we don’t get those pretty game manuals and guide booklets anymore. It’s a lost art nowadays.
Therefore, I am happy to announce that I’m starting a new initiative. The Continue Project.
As in:
Continue? Yes / No
We continue. We preserve.

Starting today, I’m going to scan the entirety of my retro game collection and archive them on my website until, well, until I run out of games. Digital scans of front and back covers, manuals, guide books, pictures of disks, and cases, etc.
I don’t have a huge collection, but the stuff that I got is pretty good and worth your time. I have some obscure games like Demento, and some well known titles like the original METAL GEAR SOLID or FINAL FANTASY VII.

Today, I invite you to come and have a look at the first 6 games I archived on the website:
– KINGDOM HEARTS: FINAL MIX (Japanese copy)
– DEMENTO (Haunting Ground – Japanese copy)
– Devil May Cry 3 (Japanese copy)
– FINAL FANTASY TACTICS (Japanese copy)
– BIO HAZARD (Resident Evil – Japanese copy)
– parasite EVE (Japanese copy)
If you possess any physical games regardless of the platform or region – and if you’d like to contribute to this archive, you can either temporarily lend your copies to me via shipping (EU only for now), or send me digitally scanned materials or pictures.
These materials should be authentic and not taken from anywhere else. They will all be labeled under my website and you will be credited properly with your social media links unless you choose to contribute anonymously.

If you are simply an enthusiast and would like to see a specific game in the archive, feel free to leave a comment under this article and I’ll see if I have a copy of it or if we can find one.
This is a non-profit archive. No need to register for an account, and no paywalls. I’m simply doing it for the love of the game. For preservation’s sake. I’m basically doing it for myself and sharing it with you as well, because why not.

There are, and will be, many imperfections. Scan lines, misaligned scans, contrast issues, etc. But I feel like those are natural, and should stay as a part of this preservation effort. Obviously, I’d love to scan them perfectly but I have a cheap scanner and that’s not something I can do right now.
I also had to put some annoying watermarks on all materials because I don’t want to feed the plagiarizing nostalgia content farms on Twitter, it’s simple as that.

The rest of the website isn’t particularly updated, but you can check out some old reviews and Community Updates if you wish. Other than that, I’ll just use the website for this initiative, at least for now.
I’m planning on growing the project further with old video game magazines, t-shirts, model kit manuals, and even figurines if everything goes well.
Please share this around if you’d like to support this initiative, and I hope you’ll enjoy.
Thank you!
